Parent Testimonial's

Robyn (U13 Parent, 2017)

In July of 2017, my son had the privilege of playing soccer for American Strikers FC, Select U13 at The Limerick Cup (now known as the Treaty Cup) on the campus of the University of Limerick in Ireland.

The trip was amazing!  During the day, the boys trained, and the parents could stay on campus or sightsee.  The games played were competitive,, a level of soccer the boys hadn’t seen back home on their club and local teams.  Our boys rose to the occasion and were the Runner-Up in the U13 Tournament.

The week was also not all soccer.  Sightseeing tours were set-up, and we were able to experience the culture, beauty and other sports Ireland has to offer.

We chose to go to Ireland earlier than when we had to report to the University of Limerick and toured the southern counties.  Upon arriving at campus, we were warmly greeted by Lisa Golas.  Lisa could not have been friendlier or more informative.  Itinerary was explained and our questions answered.  The daily events, meals and tours were very organized.  The dorm rooms were clean and campus safe.  The boys and parents had a blast!

Upon returning to the States, the parents and sons maintained friendships that we had made from our team.  When we had “reunions” the boys would talk about their experience not only playing in Ireland, but the sites they saw as well!

It was a worthwhile and memorable trip for all!
